
I did this a few months ago as a supplement to my 3D Temiree Project. Part of the project was a 15 minute presentation, and I decided to make this as extra padding. Unfortunately, a lot of the remarks I got back from the judges was that they were more impressed with the sketches I showed than the 3D model I worked for ages on, so I guess it's something I'll have to get better at with time. =P It's understandable though. First attempt vs. 1000th attempt.
Unfortunately one problem I had with this, as well as the model is that even though I did make an effort to redesign him for animation, his normal style ended up coming through in the end. I really need to work on being more flexible!

Haha, thank you. And I agree. Expressions really mean everything for me as well. A drawing can be beautifully laid out, but if the character's facial expressions can't match what's going on in the scene in an appealing way, then everything kind of breaks down for me. xD
