Continuing my 'sweeps month' presentation (for February, 2012) here's another 'photo-op' from the past...
This time, I offer a photo taken at the 2007 edition of "Megaplex" (Florida's own 'furry convention') - when it was held in Jacksonville in early March (a year or two before it returned to central Florida, and held [from that time on] in summer).
From left to right, we have
yours truly, 
Funimal (who was able to drive me upstate to the con from my Margate home), and 
Mkaz (who was the 'Guest of Honor' at said con).
For the unfamiliar, Mkaz is the cartoonist/creator of "Captain Jack", as well as the illustrator of other comic books - including "TMNT Adventures" (for Archie Comics), "Critters" (Fantagraphics) "Ren & Stimpy" (Marvel), and "Futurama" (Bongo Comics). In addition, his past animation credits include "Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures", "The Simpsons", "Tiny Toon Adventures", and "Johnny Test".
And, of course, Mkaz and Funimal were former members of the 'funny animal' APAzine "Rowrbrazzle" (a publication I'm still contributing to).
The theme of the 2007 edition of "Megaplex" was 'game shows'. So, naturally, Mkaz designed the T-shirt with an emcee, two contestants, and the Groucho-esque duck from "You Bet You Life" "The secret word is FUN!" And I still own said T-shirt, as well as the "Rowrbrazzle" T-shirt he'd designed back in the 1990s (which I'm wearing in this picture)!
