I've been meaning to get up early to see a sunrise each time I've come back to visit my parents in New Jersey. This morning I took the opportunity to do just that and this is one of the many photos I was able to capture this morning.

I was initially a bit disappointed that there was a cloud bank looming a few miles off the coast line, but in the end the provided stunning contrast and photographic opportunities a clear morning would have been void of.

As I watched the event unfold...I thought of my Mom and it brought me comfort.
