Shaas: all gone! - more to come soon! <3
(Previous log: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7461403)
"No apparent contamination on any of the eggs brought in. Nothing that wasn't already in the air of the ship, anyway. Dust, traces of someone's cold virus, that sort of thing. Mostly harmless.
X-rays show distinct embryonic structures. They appear to be following what we consider to be normal lines; four limbs, one head, one tail. Surprisingly, they had been in some kind of stasis while on board the abandoned ship, but resumed development as soon as they were placed within our care.
On a personal note, it will be interesting to see what emerges. According to the men sent aboard the ship to retrieve them, there were eggs in almost every room. To quote one of the reports, 'the captain wouldn't have allowed so many of them to be brought on board if they were dangerous.'
Apparently, a few of the men sent in to clear the ship pocketed a few of the eggs, though whether their intent was to keep or sell them is anyone's guess.
No one is very worried about what will hatch from these eggs. At this point it's more a case of scientific curiosity that we're keeping them here any more at all."
-From the report of a scientist on the team in charge of investigating several of the eggs taken from the abandoned ship.

Yup. Here we go. X3 $7 will get you the egg and adult stage. For an extra $3 you can have the hatchling stage, too.
001: Found in a passenger cabin with an antique record player; cache of eggs was sitting atop the record as it spun, still operational, though no records were present at the time of discovery. - Claimed by Ellizex
002: Found in the medical bay's bright, sterile environment; several red lights indicating the lack of life sign from all crew members flashed above the cache of eggs tucked away in a little alcove on the counter. - Claimed bypandoradragon
003: Found on the observation deck; eggs sitting in a small decorative bowl under one of the broad viewing ports, emergency lights distant. - Claimed by RavynArcadiaValos
Any new theories as to why the eggs are colored differently, now that you can see them and know where they were discovered? :3 Special something still available for the first person to guess (if desired). X3

My guess would be they have some sort of chameleon effect when laid. Taking in the effects of the world around them to blend in until hatched. Chances are the young take this on too. Perfect strategy for any species that travels out side of what ever it's home environment :3
Really cool idea, I'm rather intrigued with what might hatch although I don't think I should get one right now.
