Using only a video camera, monitor, satellite dish, LNB, modulator, VTR and battery, I'm able to share my "live broadcast" drawings with all of my friends. For an extra $7000, I bought a dot matrix printer and satellite data processor, so their video-chat messages can been seen by me when I'm drawing. At first it feels strange to talk and have people respond only in text, but it's easy to get used to it. If you've missed a broadcast, write to me and I'll send you a videocassette.

It would be nice to someday "live-cast" without having to drag everything up the hill into the view of the satellite, but for now, I'm grateful for this ability to share drawings so frequently with such rare friends.
