Having recently listened to the song Reynadine performed by the Carolina Chocolate Drops I was interested in the story. After some cursory research I found that a modern, though likely incorrect, interpretation of the story was to cast Reynardine as a shape-changer or were-fox.

This seemed like a good kernel of a story about the trials and tribulations of a shape-changing vulpine and so here is the first "chapter" you could say of what I'm working on. Cheers!
