This is one of the two monuments flanking the building with Chairman Mao's casket in it in the center of Tian'anmen Square. It's a huge area, and you actually can't get it it very well from the side of the street with the Forbidden City. You have to go into this long underground tunnel to get to the square itself.
I wish I could have gone into the building itself (the one mentioned above), but it was closed for the day already. It has very short hours.
