So adorable! I love the expression, the pose, that tail ... the character design in general is just good, but if i'm asked to point out problems I'd point to that cloudy background. It just doesn't look like a real sky with clouds, more like blue wallpaper with white splotches painted on. Perhaps if the clouds were shaded the same way the character was? But I've tried to draw a cloud and failed to an exponentially higher degree so I doubt anything I can suggest would be an improvement. Seeing as it's a character design class and the character is the only important part, my unprofessional opinion is that you've got it spot on. Which really doesn't help you any as "It's good, I've got nothing" can't be utilized to any degree as constructive criticism.
No, no, that was very helpful! I can see how the way I left the clouds flat could make it seem like a wallpaper. I was worried that if I shaded the clouds they would be too distracting, but perhaps some subtle shading could imply that they are in fact 3 dimensional XD
Thanks!
Thanks!
Just a small thing: You're used to drawing mice, which are relatively smooth, so this squirrel came out smooth as well. However, squirrels are much fluffier than mice, so you probably ought to take the smudge tool just a little bit to some of the edges to make it look more like fur and less like skin with a bit of fur on it.
But as usual, your expression is awesome, and the body language is incredibly clear. Your cartoon influences shine through in this, and you've pretty much got all the characterization you need for this little guy in a single pose.

Thanks for the advice!
I think this design may be implied that it's for an animation, adding too many details may make the possibility of that harder. I was kind of going for a Skippy Squirrel like thing (Who I didn't reference for this, but am now realizing the colors are very similar, should change that XD). But I will try to make the fur thing more clear regardless!
Thanks a lot! :D

It really show how humanity and "beast" are one the smooth effect from far away it keeps it in all good form but abit of a down side because if you cannot take criticism that what are the down side is you can't see why it is mad that is all we give it a 95% can't say any thing about the shadow cause nicely applied.
