The story of Candace:
Heh... she's literally a recolor of Sally -- a literal clone, in fact. Her eyes mark her as something of an experiment with a certain purple fox, but because Sally Prime is still quite alive (as is her mate, Sonic), Candace felt it necessary to ... disappear. Despite having the memories of Sally, which bring her a great deal of mental anguish that she can't be the one she should be, because she's now out of the spotlight it gives her time to train skills she always wanted to train. She would secretly become her Prime's guardian angel, and a mercenary otherwise with a heavy lean for Acorn contracts.
She, essentially, fights for herself.
