These are two Pokémon (Fakemon/Fakémon) I came up with about 5 years ago. I drew them in MS Paint originally, and recently redesigned them in Adobe Illustrator. The background, effects, coloring and shading was done in Adobe Photoshop.
Combett is the smaller one at the top, and Ghouleon is the larger, scarier one at the bottom.
Combett is a combination and corruption of the words Combat and Betta. Ghouleon is a combination and corruption of the words Ghoul, Leo and Lionfish. Shamuushura シャムウシュラ is a corruption and combination of the words shamugo (Siamese) and shura (fighting). Konnefune コンネフネ is based on a combination of the words Kon (soul) and Fune (ship, vessel).
Name: Combett | Shamuushura シャムウシュラ
Type: Water/Fighting
Species: Fighting Fish Pokémon
Height: 2' 11" (0.89 m)
Weight: 100 lbs. (45.5 kg)
Abilities: Rivalry/Honey Gather
Stage: Basic Pokémon
Evolution: Evolves at Level 35

Egg Group: Water 2|Amorphous
Combett are well known for being aggressive, territorial and highly skilled fighters. Gambling rings on Combett fighting is a major problem in parts of the world. This also causes temptation for young trainers to raise their Combett in hopes of entering underground competitions for quick money.
Combett are sometimes kept as pets, but placing two male Combett in one tank is a common and often serious mistake. Combett breed very quickly and often, laying as many as 100 eggs every month. These eggs hatch into fry within two days. From the day they hatch, Combett are capable of taking care of themselves.
Combett survive on the sap and honey some plants and Pokémon produce. Slowpoke are one of the common sources, and Combett will chase away any Shellder nearby to secure their food. Surskit, who produce honey from their head are a common and unfortunate victim of Combett. Often Surskit are capsized by Combett who quickly begin sucking on the victim's head. Many wild Surskit have developed a debilitating fear of Combett because of this. Teddiursa are also potential victims, due in part to their honey soaked paws. Combett have been reported to leap out of the water and chase Teddiursa on dry land.
Name: Ghouleon | Konnefune コンネフネ

Species: Lionfish Pokémon
Height: 6' (1.82 m)

Many legends surround Ghouleon, most of which deal with those lost at sea. In some of these legends Ghouleon is a guide to the afterlife, others claim that Ghouleon devour the lost souls. Tribes in the south believe that the ghosts of the departed live inside Ghouleon.
Ghouleon live in shallow seas, and nest in caves along the coast. Its powerful jaws are capable of tearing rock from cliffs and the ocean floor. This is sometimes done to make caves when none are naturally available.
The venomous spikes on its back are very knife-like, easily lost and grow back in a matter of seconds. Ghouleon spikes are used as tools and weapons by tribes in the south. When angered or trapped, a Ghouleon will launch its spikes in all directions.
