Argh, apologies for the crappy cellphone photo, but the original won't fit in my scanner. x_x This is
nikaro's commission in progress. I'd worked up the original sketch, but I wasn't totally happy with the direction I'd gone with it, so after some thought, I decided to rework the piece a bit. It's now an 11x14 comic style page, since that allowed me to show the feelings going through the character's head a little better than the initial image did by itself. Also, holy crap, the background visible through the windows actually turned out halfway decent! @_@ It's referenced off a TOR screen shot of the Imperial capital, since the character is an Imperial agent.
Yes, she's upset she can't go gallivanting all over the galaxy in her current condition. Maybe she should have thought of that before she got herself knocked up. c.c;

Pregnancy: One of the many things that we tend to forget. Thank you for reminding us.
If she's an Imperial agent, I can understand the rifle in the foreground (that is a rifle, right?), though I can imagine the best course of action would be to hunker down.
I'll echo your sentiments and say the comic style really gives the piece the extra something that makes it awesome.
I do wonder who is displayed on the hologram in the foreground... A friend of hers? Perhaps the one who caused her current...state of being?
Anyway, well done!
