Last year after my lovely area of Humboldt County was subjected to enough rain to make the Eel River look quite overfilled and flooded a couple other areas, I began to wonder if there ever could possibly be a flood around here able to do any serious damage. Well, I ended up discovering that yes, there could be. Back in 1964, to my understanding, the west coast all the way up to like...Oregon or Washington experienced a hard freeze followed by a heavy downpour with over a season's worth of rain in just a few days. Most of Humboldt County was severely damaged in the flood, and as I recall, cost millions of dollars to repair.

So yeah...The actual image looks different than this, but the basic idea is there XD I did most of the work on this when I was bored in classes, so I didn't have the reference readily available....For some reason the story of that flood is just really fascinating to me x3
