The Diabolos Assault is a semi-automatic plasma projection cannon that opens a set of electromagnetic "jaws" based on the amount of plasma being put into a given shot.

The Diabolos-class plasma weapons are an anti-armor/anti-material category, due to the destructive nature of plasma. The Diabolos Assault is front-heavy in spite of having the power source and plasma generator placed all the way in the back of the weapon, so an anti-gravity well is placed in front of the trigger guard, on the bottom of the weapon so it can be carried with minimal effort.

An inertia damper also placed midway along the weapon gives it superb mobility in spite of its balance and weight. The weapon only has a medium range, so being able to engage multiple targets in its engagement range is critical, and the increased mobility allows the user to do exactly that.

The Diabolos-class plasma cannon is only fitted for Drakoni heavy infantry.
