I think you did fine.. And the electric bolt from the finger is very similar to a thought I had for an X-man character.. named "Zot" The ability to control, create, interact with, and become electricity. In grade school, the kids made fun of him because all he could do was make a little spark between his index finger and tumb... 'Zot!'
