Why did I mentally read that last sentence in the "singing" voice of William Shatner?
Something gives me the impression that this is a guy who changes his appearance FREQUENTLY. Perhaps he and Electra had known each other in the past, but as she rose to "fame" they went their separate ways, and when they finally re-encounter one another for the first time in who knows how long, she doesn't recognize him.
