A bit of rough animation for your viewing pleasure. Tuxa noms on a melon, part of a series of quick 'montage' shots of him traveling throughout the forest, they were all quick and enjoyable to do. This one in particular let me play with his mouth features a bit, and experiment with how much secondary to give his ears and tuft of hair. The cleaned version will most likely have a couple more tweens to make things more smooth.

I'm at a point now where I've finished doing the series of quick shots that make up the traveling montage, now I've found myself a bit slowed by shots that are of more importance to the narrative and need much more care and setup. It's a bit jarring to be slowed after making good progress but I'm not going to let it worry me, things are still going well. As of this diary the short has a rough running time of 1 minute and 20 seconds. I consider where I am now in the 'story' to be the halfway point, so I can roughly assume the short will end up being around 3 minutes. We'll see how that changes!
