I've been dying to make one of these for myself for a long time - I had some extra time this week so I decided to work on the list of personal projects I've been putting on the back burner. A proper Faerie badge was the very first thing on that list, and I LOVE how it turned out.
I used a Madagascan Sunset Moth (google it, its BEAUTIFUL!) as the basis for her wings, and gave her an outfit to match with a bit of a tropical flair, something that's sort of new for Luthien. I think it works on her though, don't you? ^.^

I don't think I need to say how much I love your faerie, work, badges and all. You always find the most beautiful moths and butterflies to base them off of, too, and I really like all the bright colorful swirls in Luthien's wings and dress. It's really quite the outfit, too! I really like the artfully ragged look, and the one exposed stocking, and her whole attitude just makes this piece work so well.
