Both are illegal here, thankfully. But I've seen my share of natural dobes having nasty comments left on pics of them from people obsessed with docking and cropping. Im sure it'll happen to me sooner or later.
Both ideas are just so foreign to me, and not what a dobe looks like in the UK, so its kinda annoying when you see USA people talking as if all dobes should be cropped and docked, like only the USA dobe is the 'true' dobe. Here, no-one would recognise a cropped and docked dog as a doberman at all, they'd think it was some kind of mix :P
The tail docking has only been illegal here for a few years now, so you still see some docked dogs about, and some people are still getting used to the full tails. I've never liked either practise though, even before the ban, I was trying to find a breeder who didn't dock.
