Rainbowdash pinup
Rainbowdash! Cameoing as a WWII fighter pilot =) It took a while for me to come up with a good pose for this one--she's such a strong character that I didn't want to go all cheesecake here. She's sexy for who she is.
I'm struggling to get a picture that shows these colors as true-to-life, sometimes with watercolor the original is much better than any photo because of the nature of how light bounces through it =/ This composition looks a lot nicer in real life, I keep adjusting the photograph but the clouds don't look as nice as they do in person.
Done in watercolor and colored pencil, 9X12 inches
Original is $60 including shipping in the US
8.5X11 Print is $13 including shipping in the US
Unfortunately this one just WILL NOT scan or photograph well. The detail in the clouds just won't translate =( Any suggestions would leave me grateful. I swear this one is the best of the 5 I've done so far and it looks terrible online >_<

Glad you like ^_^ I based it on a combination of the Wonderbolts design and colors and then also a more feminine version of what some of the WWII pilots wear. I had to forgo a scarf because I couldn't get it to look right, but was really happy with everything else. I wanted it to be reminiscent of WWII pinups without either being a direct copy or pure cheesecake since I felt it would be out-of-character.
