Have you ever read "The Weigher" (by Eric Vinicoff) ? The one thing from that story that comes to mind is that the creatures there usually walked on two feet (because they're civilized) but resorted to four legs when they were in a hurry and had to go somewhere fast :)

Hmm.. I never read that book, google doesn't help that much this time..

But interesting... though my foxes are feral 99% of the time unlike the ones in the book.

Been there. Minus the suitcase. But otherwsise, been there.

Of course, the entire way there I run through a list of the best excuses I can give for why I'm late in my head.

Of course... but I bet you weren't on all fours while running.
The suitcase kind of impairs running if that's done. Maybe the suitcase could be the excuse!
