Lucca & the Purple Crayon
First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY 
LUCCA!
When I think of littleness and purple, there is a certain kittycat I think of now, thanks to our birthday girl. But I also think of a purple stuffed cat that I have had since I was very little -- I think my mom made it, or another relative; I'm not sure.
Another thing I think of, though, is Harold and the Purple Crayon, a children's book by Crockett Johnson; I'm sure a lot of us remember it fondly. Harold and his crayon draw their way through a lot of fanciful adventures until he finally figures out how to draw his way home. So here we have Lucca, having drawn her way to a tropical island, enjoying some birthday cake with a deserving porcupine friend.
