It's Derpy. I bet it's about all the fuss people are making about this character right now.
Basically a backgound character fans have loved so much that the team behind MLP:FIM decided to give the fans a shoutout.
The shoutout resulted in much positive and some negative feedback. The negative feedback claimed that Derpy appeared too much like a mentally handicapped pony, the fan derived nickname "Derpy" would underline that statement and the whole scene she appeared in would throw a bad light onto being mentally handicapped basically.
The team reacted to that and changed the scene a little, so the name disappeared, the voice changed and the eyes were fixed. But now the fans were disappointed and claimed, it was just the wish of iTunes to have an "offensive" scene like that changed, because some "soccer moms" have complained about it. So http://savederpy.com/ came to life and sadly most fans now were thinking, their favorite character was to vanish forever. So they protested loudly everywhere without even having a clue what was going on in first place and why the change happened.
Some people overreacted and started to insult Hasbro and the team that gave them their beloved series and that shoutout in the first place, a shitstorm was on the horizon.
Recently an official statement http://www.equestriadaily.com/2012/.....-to-derpy.html appeared and explained why the change happened and that the character is still safe within the series but most people didn't read it and are still arguing about the whole issue instead of just calming down.
Somehow I can see why people start to wish that that shoutout never had happened. And seeing how things turned out I guess it won't happen again soon or ever.
I have to admit I am a fan of "Derpy" (now confirmed to be officially named "Ditzy Doo") and liked that shoutout. I guess it was because I basically never assumed the character to be mentally challenged and I also said "whatever will be canon will be fine by me". So I accepted the original scene as well as the changed scene.
But still people are upset about the change and they even seem to be not satisfied about an official statement explaining how it happened and that the character is there to stay. Some people don't even seem to know about it and are still spreading their stupid little rumors.
Right now some of them show pretty disrespectful behaviour towards the creators of the show as well as any person who dares to confront them. It's those people who make any further discussion about that topic absolutely ridiculous.

I agree, it is ridiculous. While I see why fans want to keep their favorite BG-character in the show, there was never any indicator for the character to disappear in the first place. When that particular episode was taken down and the Derpy-Shirts over at http://www.welovefine.com/ became temporary unavailable that fear came almost out of nowhere and suddenly anyone had an opinion about it and claimed to know what was going on and why it was going on. Despite everything seemed strange at first, there were enough good theories around to speculate about. But irrational panic was so much more fun, as always, so rumors were spread and people started reacting weird.
I can see where those ideas like #destroyderpy come from. I just hope anyone will calm down soon. Nothing is lost and nothing will be lost, there really is nothing to complain about.

7 years ago I was a flaming homo /b/tard. I was the biggest anti-furry flamer there ever was. Raids, the whole nine yards. Everything anybody has ever said about bronies, I said about furries. Pretty much everything that retard has said and says now about bronies or ponyfags (and now me, apparently, even though I don't really identify with the fanbase or as a brony) I have at one time or another said about furries.

I'm sorry for misjudging the picture and comments. Although i have to admit. with the hate and rage going on its kinda grown a bit difficult to difference between the Satire and Real flames . that's what happens after weeks of constant shit storms! so my apologies for taking it the wrong way :)
