I have various ones, but the one I will stick with is this:
An electric storm is brewing and is coming in fast, and a young red gryphon in search of shelter stumbled upon this cave and thought it abandoned so she entered. Now the dragon when who owned the cave came within earshot distance in landing heard a creature rustling near his residence and so was cautious, yet teed off at the same time because of both that and the current weather coming in. It takes a bit of time of screeching an roaring before the dragon realized that this young gryphon had saved his life from being killed by humans. So in a gesture of pity and as to return the favor the dragon lets this female gryphon stay in his cave till the storm passes. Now little knowing that is rainstorm would soon turn to a snow storm as winter was now upon them in the higher elevations.
Now sure I could go even further, but I think that would be a nice short synopsis of the plot I was getting at.
