Painted to simulate Soviet MiG-21 "Fishbed", these Northrop F-5E Tiger II lightweight fighters are parked on the ramp at Phelps Collins ANG Base, near Alpena Michigan in the Summer of 1977. This was my first visit to the base as a CAP cadet assigned to the Office of Information during the annual Summer Encampment. This was the week after the local Brown Trout Festival.
