Aw man, I wish it could be that easy to combine gold and purple with traditional stuff. :C
It always ends up with a sort of brownish colour when I merge the two together.
Anywhoo, this is beautifully done, I certainly like those frills (ears?), I've never seen any like those before. :)

Yeah working gold/yellow and puple can be hard (with the way I work digitally I get the same issue if I try to work purple on gold or vice versa).
What I do to avoid this is to well avoid dirrectly painting them on eachother/blending dirrectly. I add an intermediate color that looks nice and tends to be analogous to the other two. In this case I worked a pink/red or orange into the picture at the boundaries. The red color blends nicely with both of the others so it doesn't stand out but retains the vibrancy of the mixed colors without becoming muddy .
