It was part of a very early conceptual thing they didn't end up using, likely before they settled on the age of the character himself. The concept art has Hiccup placed (visually, never announced) everywhere from like, 8 to 20 before they settled on his final model.

Oh, that. Yeah. Lando posted that after I posted about it. That's why I was able to post art again.
Then the TOS was changed and the mods were back at me AGAIN.
The mods ignored the video this time because it was just concepting before the movie. It isn't necessarily the actual age. Instead they went by how old he looks style wise. Ridiculous.

Tho no, I won't be posting the old art. Mainly for two reasons
1. Hiccup is apparently underaged in the first movie so all that art wouldn't be allowed
2. that art is suuuuuuper old and I kinda cringe at it lolll
The bright side is that toothcup is now allowed here on FA so I'll be posting new toothcup art :3

Hahah yeah, I know right? But it's true! I mean, if it were so inconsequential, then why is like ninety-five percent of this website just that? You inspired me to continue to be an artist, AND gave me plenty of very good nights over the years. That definitely counts for something!
