ok..well im glad i looked at the second and third photo's comments and not just the first! otherwise i'd have been asking that same question..however it's still slightly odd to translate that to your wedding cake... either way omg that octopus is really cool! very lifelike arms..very nom worthy

Lol, thanks all. The whole octopus thing is kind of a deep-seeded interest. For my BFA I had to study them and kinda fell in love. They are very interesting creatures, so every time I see them I feel happy. Weddings too (most of the time). So a combination of which was a lot of fun, though I kind of wish I had added more fish-related things to this cake. Oh well. Live and learn.
