I think Unk would go for having a trainer that skilled and effective. If his personality weren't so ... superior. I think the only trainer who could whip him into better shape would have to be a dragon. He'd never take the disciplining and coaching it would take from any other species.
I think your traditional coloring is still one of the best around. I think the background looks breath taking. I hope one day I can draw backgrounds in such a detailed way like you do. Anyway, really beautiful work, I'm sure your friend will love it and summer is just around the corner... Well... Sort of... ^^; So you don't have to miss it for much longer. : )
I know you appreciate my comments warmly... and that's why I'm going to write down my thoughts here, once again. This time in English, for everyone to read. ^__^
Okay, I can't say SOOO much about this character this time... 'cause I don't have the closest "affection" or "connection" to RUFUS, after all.
But I can talk about the artwork itself and WHAT hit my eyes and mind at first.
THE VERY FIRST thing that hit my eyes was the glass of juice. It looks so realistic - compared to the character, which is supposed to be "overdrawn" and "comic-style".
But I really could not believe how well and believable you've drawn the glass... the structure, the surface, the liquid... masterful!
ANATOMY:
Don't have to say very much here, hehehe... the muscle build and body anatomy/proportions are well done - as usual. ^_^
COLOURS:
It is darn hard to draw "black" or dark fur... and once again, you've shown us that you ARE able to do it quite well. You've used the grey and darker grey colours very intelligently and mixed it to create a very darn body fur colour. But it is NOT too dark - there are still bright and darker places, which the eye loves to see very naturally.
The background colouring is composed of "nature" colours... brown-ish and green-ish tones (plus the blue sky). This works all very well together!
Also, I like the BACKGROUND and once again: your incredible love for detail and perfection. Everything is important - from the huge character, the detailed wall AND even the last tiny cup on a table in the background. You do it all with love and attention to every small item...
... and this makes your pictures so magical and nice to look at! (final word)

ich war so aufgeregt als der postbote kam XD das war echt unglaublich. voller vorfreude hab ich das packet dann wild aber vorsichtig ausgepackt. ich hab mich sooooooo gefreut. gott sei dank war keiner daheim...ich bin rum gesprungen wie ein junges rehkitz XD
das bild is der hammer!!!!!! in echt sieht es nochmal so viel schöner aus. endlich hab ich mal ein original ;P
ich finde es immer wieder faszinierend wie du mit copicmarkern schwarzes fell so exzellent hinbekommst. man weiß genau, dass es schwarz is und nicht verwaschenes grau. die highlights geben dem ganzen das i-tüpfelchen. außerdem hab ich mich übel gefreut, dass er sein schönes "männerröckchen" anhat (ich hab shcon wieder vergessen wie die dinger heißen XD)
dass du den main gemalt hast hab ich mir fast gedacht. das machts noch besonderer, weil ich es mit heimat verbinde ich kann mir echt gut vorstellen, wie er unten sitzt und sich nen saft gönnt ^.^
ich kann dir gar nicht sagen wie sehr ich es liebe.
als es ankam hab ich es gleich eingerahmt und so hingestellt, dass ich es von meinem schreibtisch aus sehen kann wo ich fast den ganzen tag verbracht hab. und immer, wenn mir beim zeichnen schon fast die lust vergangen is hab ichs angeguckt und hab mich viel besser gefühlt und konnte motiviert weiter machen.
die muskelproportion und anatomie hast du wieder perfekt hinbekommen. du weißt genau, wie ich mein wolfi am liebsten hab. schön honky aber immer noch nicht zu übertrieben. ein werwolf halt ^.^

also ein originaldj...das erhält natürlich einen ehrenplatz...ich weiß nur noch nicht genau wo ich es final platziere...aber da find ichschon was schönes ;)
besonders gut gefallen mir auch die wolken...die malst du immer so schön fluffig ^^
am allergeilsten ist aber zum einen sein blick und zum anderen hast du seine haare so schön gemacht. zum einen schimmern sie genau so wie sie es sollen (von rot ins schwarze übergehend^^) und zum anderen haben sie iwie genau den richtigen schwung...so wuschelig stachelig...spitzbübisch iwie ^^
perfekt halt.
und es übertrifft dein anderes bild von rufus noch einmal um meilen...auch wenn du weißt, dass ich das andere bild auch sehr liebe....
aber das zeigt halt einfach, dass du dich immer noch verbessern kannst...auch wenn du anatomie, komposition und farben schon meisterhaft perfektioniert hast.

hehe jetzt bin ich ganz aus dem Häuschen vor Freude, dass es solch eine gelungene Überaschung für dich geworden ist.
Du hast mir schon soviel feine Sachen gemalt und mir ja auch schon was gegeben was auf Papier gemalt ist und ausserdem wollte ich das ja schon Weihnachten für dich fertig haben, aber sieh es als Geschenk für Weihnachten und Valentinstag zusammen an XP
Hab mir all mögliche Rufus-Bilder nochmal genau angeschaut extra, damit ich es so gut wie möglich hinbekomm, und ich denk mal nach deiner Reaktion hab ich das. ^^
Und ja, es soll auch was sein, was dich immer an deine Heimat erinnern wird, soll ja hoffentlich für die Ewigkeit sein ^^
Pass nur auf, dass das Bild nicht unbedingt jeden Tag in der Sonne steht, Copics sind zwar lichtecht aber ich hab keine Ahnung ob die mit den Jahren ausbleichen ^^"

I don't miss the summer just for one thing.. because at work we haven't the air conditioner.. XD Usually, already at mid july we have something like 38°C in a "normal" day.. T.T anyway.. this is a wonderful work, as always <3 And.. well.. if you see the summer in this way.. yess I miss it too XD XD XD XD
