Bichon Frise - Commission
-twitch-
I used an entire skein of white Simply Soft yarn just to do all the fluff. I think each skein (of this size) has 315 yards, or 945 feet. Each strand of yarn I cut for fluff was about 4 inches long. 945 feet is 11340 inches. So very roughly, that's 2835 strands of yarn to individually cut, latch on, and then brush all of it out and trim. I really love the final product (the face!), but if I get any more commissions for these full body fluff medium dogs, they're not going to be cheap This one became sort of temporarily infamous as "the white dog" between me and my parents. "What did you do today?" - "I worked on the white dog". "What did you do last night?" - "I was working on the white dog" - "Oh! Did you finish?" - "No". "You should put your white dog up somewhere so that the cats don't get into it." (Surprisingly, none of the cats ever bother any of my crochet projects.)
Oh, and this is supposed to be more of a puppy-cut style. I wasn't sure whether I should curl the tail over the back or leave it as is. I can still do that if you'd like, lokikitsu!
