
This one is actually really small. I guess that kind of fits with the idea of being at odds with life sometimes. You can feel small and tugged at. Its a stinky feeling! I'll have this at FWA's art show.

Arphalia, your art never ceases to amaze me by it's apparent simplicity, using only a few colors, playing with black and white and the contrast, yet it conveys such emotion.
I remember one of the first pictures of yours that I saw, on VCL I think, of a vixen impaled on a pen of sort, with a gush of blood coming out the otehr end of the pen. It was so beautifully done, the pain and distress easily felt from the poor vixen-like character.
Please, never stop drawing/painting, you're too good at that, and your art adds a touch of beauty to our world.

I was going to say, before reading your description, that she looks pulled down into the mire of whatever hardship is surrounding her. I love how there's a vague sadness, but mostly just a resignation to being pulled in, as if it's happened before and she knows that if she doesn't fight it, it'll end sooner and she can go on with her life.
