This sketch of theirs brought a mystic quality to the character I had not expected, and that I definitely like.

Kaleer is an alien creature called a Valian from the Sirius star system who has been stranded on Earth since the era of stone. He's seen his share of history and then some, hiding as much as his shapechanging allows and meddling as little as possible. Eccentric to some and mad to others, this creature now seeks to right his own previous wrongs and keep the planet he's called home for thousands of years from falling to his own people. His own children.

In roleplay, Kaleer is played as a PG companion to many other characters, usually hiding in the background but ever-present in some way or another, watching and waiting for opportunities to change things for the better. He detests the spotlight, as it were, since such things tend to more often than not lead to his eventual discovery as an alien invader of sorts, and that never really goes over well.
