"Sunshower" <-- never heard that one.
It's interesting how similar all the terminology is to mine, Missouri drawl aside. :) I have been out there and noticed that people tended to talk more like me than like Southerners, which I expected them to.
Also, this meme seems to be pulling out a lot of people's backgrounds. Also interesting!

TPing is also called papering, rolling, and wrapping depending on where you go. If you don't live in New England or the deep south, though, you'll probably never hear em.
Really? Pop?! With a southern accent? Wow! I NEVER heard that till I moved to Illinois.
Shopping cart is called a buggy in southern areas :3 Also called a basket and a trolley in the UK.
Some of my favorites that are not on this:
What do you call the paper or plastic thing that you carry stuff in at a store?
What do you call a long sandwich with cold cuts?
What do you call a sale on a front lawn?
What do you call a device where you can drink water in a public building?

Okay, my southern roots will be showing here but:
3. I'm from the southeast...ALL carbonated beverages are called Coke, or if you're really southern Co-cola.
8. a buggy (southern!)
My mother, father and brother (along with my extended family on both sides) have very pronounced southern accents. For some reason, it never 'took' with me and when people hear me speaking with my parents they will sometimes ask me where I'm from. I can tell after I've been around my family for an extended period that what little accent I have does come out for a bit, but most of the time I have a very neutral tone of speech.

"Is there any other word for shopping cart?"
Ooh, that's it! British education continues immediately: I don't believe I have ever heard people refer to them as a shopping cart in Britain (although of course like always there is the possibility they do somewhere). Over here they are shopping trolleys, or just trolleys.
Also, I can't believe that Americans seem to have a common word for sun-shining-while-it's-raining. I guess it just never happens here, or if it does we're just too pessimistic about the weather to give it any nicer name. Glass half empty sort of thing.
"How's the weather?"
"It's raining."
"Well isn't it also sunny?"
"Yeah, but... it's raining."
Oh, and my friend refers to a remote as a 'dibber'. We make fun of him for it. A lot.

We get that all the time in the Pacific Northwest, but I have never heard of it having a specific term. About the only thing I hear is a bit of folk wisdom from my parents that if the sun is shinning while it rains, that means it'll rain tomorrow. I am curious if there is a word or phrase somewhere that describes it.

Thank you! I've been trying to make that distinction for decades! Missouri is NOT a "southern state"; there are two states south of it! Hillbilly is not the same as southern, and I've never considered myself southern. I only consider myself hillbilly because I can't get it out of my speech pattern no matter how hard I try.
In the interest of full disclosure, my mom - who is originally from near the northern, Iowa border - says "warsh" sometimes.

If you are a collector of US Currency, Missouri definitely IS a "Southern State"
