I know there are some vector brushes that can achieve that effect. I don't know how to go about making it from scratch though.

i have a friend who makes brushes on blender :l dont know if that helpd but you can make them in blender too

I don't know why, but your overall attention to detail, and your amazing shading techniques amaze me every time you post a piece, and this one is no exception, I love the detail, the attention and emotion you put into this, as well as those smoke trails, they're a beautiful touch ^_^
