I do like it , and i hate too say it.... but hmm ?

Well background beautifully smudged/ burled giving distance etc but the female wolf come across two-toned shaded, dark and light it feels ...FLAT... the shades could have more depth, giving dimension shape & form my only sad point to otherwise lovely setting, SORRY ! sound like a douche (i know)...but !

I agree with the differences between BG and Character, but in my opinion, the cell shading and the flat colors of the character is a good point cuz it is the style Deni has chosen for her art/characters for a long time now.

To me, that the blurred BG which is the problem =( Blur effect is very used when people don't "want"/manage to put details in a pic I think...
Deni, maybe you should try to find a nice cartoony, flatten style for your BG, well for the foreground maybe, without using any brushes I'm sure it should be great ;)
