This dragon represents "twilight", or Darkness as it should have been. Not the kind of darkness used for evil, but more like the light of a full moon -- a reflection of Light itself, into area of shadow, those places where the sun does not reach.
Inverted colored pencils (more info), took about four hours.

Sort of. I invert only the grayscale channel of the image, leaving the colors intact. Blue is still blue, but it reverses the light and dark tones. (See here for a comparison)
