This is the most up-to-date image of the dragon tapestry that I've been working on sporadically for something like 3 years now. I've put well over 100 hours and several hundred yards of thread into it by this image and it's still not quite half done, if you can believe that!
Still left to do on it: finishing the cross-stitches, all the back stitches, and beading.

I hadn't realized they were out of print! I feel like I just picked this one up yesterday, even though I know it was several years ago now. D: And I so very much wanted her fantasy pattern book... Time to go hunt on Amazon/eBay I suppose!

That's okay, I don't mind at all! I should be studying for finals anyway.
I do like anime, but I'm pickier about it now than I used to be! I'll tell you some of my more favorite series in da notes, otherwise it'll take up too much space here. :) I look forward to seeing pictures!

I know this is a very late comment but this is beautiful! The light and shading effects with the different hues of thread are hard to achieve (for me at least) and you hit it spot on! not to mention the different variation of the stitches which was mentioned above to create a desired effect. Very talented work! :D
Any comment is a wonderful comment, in my opinion! And I very much thank you for the compliments! The shading is mostly achieved by blending threads. So for the blue in the border, for example, the outer edge is two strands of very dark blue, the next color in is very-dark-blue-and-dark-blue, then it's two dark blue, then it's one-dark-blue-one-regular-blue, and so on.
