The flames were dying down now but Gareth didn't open his eyes, the pain was taking him.
His face painfully twisted and contorted into a muzzle as 2 great horns sprouted from his head.
The pain was too much, he dropped the sword and fell to his hands and knees.

His hair grew rapidly as lumps appeared on his back, one on each shoulder blade, several down his spine and one at the small of his back.

He cried out in pain as two wings shot out from his back, spines erupted and webbing formed between them.

finally his tail sprouted from the small of his back, this ended the transformation the flames were all but gone.

He jerked his head back and roared with triumph, he had become a dragon, a dragon named GECKO!
