CautionTail decided to keep the design for this adoptable, so I will not get Sakunda to do anything with, but I still like the story, so I'm keeping this up here in case I find a suitable replacement for him, to transfer him onto
Another of the guardian dogs done by
cautiontail that I'd like to get. He'd be good company to Tasune
Not mine yet, but we'll see.
--- Story for Sakunda ---
While others lived in or near cities, Sakunda (or Kunda for short) lived in the jungle. Within the depths of the forest, he looked after the ancient temples and alters made millenniums before his paws had even touched the forest floor. He was young, and a bit naive, but he meant well, and like all of his kind he fought hard.
When there was no-one near, he'd take to chewing at the same old bone, one left from the times of ritual sacrifice. It had lasted far longer than expected, then again, he didn't really eat, he merely chewed it for sake of hearing the sound of it between his teeth, loving the scraping. It was a nice, long bone, probably a leg bone, that he could drag along the ground, listening to the dull thud of bone against tree root to make his own drums.
Drums... The beat of a drum never went unnoticed by Kunda. Drums made his heart soar, his ears lift, and his eyes focus on the plain he knew few humans could see. He was addicted to Drums from the moment he'd first heart the wondrous thud of a hand across a tanned hide. Through he loved drums... He'd long since lost his love for the men and women dancing to them... There was something oddly tainted in the movements, the words...
And it broke his heart.
