Not sure how to take this any further; I ended up having to watch an episode of Pokémon from the Kanto region (the Cascade Badge one where Misty and Ash battle) in order to remember what a pokéball looks like when it's opening up. Turns out that I had it basically all wrong, lmao, so I figured I'd just stop here and work on something else.
