It was late in the day as Amy began to start walking back to her dormatry after hours of study,. in the great hall. There was going to be a test about dragons tomorrow for her. Many hours had gone by and she in between that time never stopped to take a break till dinner time. A short time later, after she had finished the rest of her tea and the chocolate chip cookie she had for dessert she was feeling rather tired, and so decided to go to bed before it got to late; their was another day of school tomorrow. Along the way she needed to go up two flights of stairs, and down a long hall till she got to her room on the left hand side facing the stairs. It was at the end of this hall that their was a set of old wooden plank doors that had spiderwebs at its corners and rusty iron hinges that made it swing. The door looked as if it had not been passed through for at least fifty years, and from the wood plus the hinges the over all appearance of it was at least another two hundred years older looking than that.
Amy was told when she started the school year not to enter that room; when she asked why, all the headmasters' response was, it was an old messy storage room and did not need to get more messy because of curious students. Little did she realise that actually at one point was a class room for the Art of Magic in Advance Studies. I was also the sight of a major accident where a student died fifty five years earlier; it was from a magical expierment that was supposed to allow for teleportation. It had been done hundreds if not thousands of time before this student, but instead of an open gate it caused magical backfeed loop that destroyed him. This however was not the end; the backfeed loop did not close, nor did the instabality and wild magic decrease either with time. It just remained a break in the very fabric of space time itself with no obvious signs of closing. Thus, as to prevent the magic surges from getting bigger, or going through out the whole school all materals that came from that room: books, papers, desks, even the students cloths that they were wearing to the class that day were thrown into that room. It was a way to ensure anything that could have been contaminated by the wild magic remained in quarantine; an so a seal was placed on the inside of that door, and was then padlocked shut. Fifty five years had passed since then and any memory of what went on on there was all but forgotten.
It now was kind of late as Amy walked down the long corridor she; was by herself, as anyone was either at that time still in the great hall, or was already in their dorm rooms. She seeing that she was alone decided to keep walking past her room and onward to the padlocked door. If she were to do nothing else, she at least wanted to sneak a peek and see what was in there. When she got to the door she could see that it was sealed by a very old lock that was starting getting rust on it, because it had not been maintaned since the time it was first locked. It was for this reason that with her skills even she could open this magical barrier lock that held this door shut. An so with the rasing of her wand and saying the words, "porta aperta" followed by the words, "Ego sum quae venit" the padlock dropped and she pushed the door open; as she held her wand at the ready for anything.
When Amy opened the door all was silent, dark, quiet, and heavy with the scent of the old musty air. The air had to be as old as from the time the door was first shut as the scent of it all hit her at once. She turned on a little light at the tip of her wand; she then slowly entered carefully as to not make to much noise on the cobble stone floor, that interestingly did not have any dust on it. She took another step in razing her wand above her head as to get a better look at what was in front of her. She did not see much at first, but then some torches above the door lit, and now she could see it was it was not a store room but instead an unused class room. She took two steps further in when a sudden breeze from no where came about, and a few papers blew around. Just as quickly an alchemy character began glowing on the door itself, with a slow transition of color from blue to orange. This exposed an etching of a character that was half a symbol it lay above the door the the other half not seen at all. It was the only reminder of the chaos that happened so many years prior. Now books began flying out and off from all over the place with no consistant order, yet also seemed almost as if organized. The instabilty of the magic this room was off the charts to begin with, and all it took to start it up again was the little magic from a wand. When it comes to magic in this uncontrolled state it would have the abiliy to take on may forms, both as physical and as raw energy.
Her eyes widened as she did not know what was going to happen next; as was to intrigued by what was going on to leave this room and shut the door behind her. Amy new she could never breath a word of what she saw. The books and papers then stared flying around in a circle like caught in a cyclone as each one flew through the air. The pages of all the books as the went all in front of her began to glow. It was only then that she started to have second thoughts; that she should be leaving this place. It was only just in that instant that she now heard a loud roar from one of the book and a bright flash with the glow that now came from one of the books; she got her wand to the ready. Then a dragons head came out from that book. It was red with a yellow hair and darker mahogany chest plates. As its length revealed itself, this was a Chinese Lung eastern dragon. She just stood their amazed in disbelief by what she saw. This was just like the dragon illustration in the book she had been reading in the great hall only a few hours earlier; also she had never seen a real dragon before now. Then another book began to flash with the glow in a different color now. The dragons head went into that book; A short time later another flash change if glow the dragon entered, and then another. This process kept occuring till the tail was finally exposed as the dragons head came out of the eighth book.
This place, and the creature that was conjured was extremely untamed, so was the magic therein. It was now well beyond Amy's control and she knew it to. She figured she could do nothing, but try to leave this place the same way she found it. She went back out the door she had entered from, shut it as sound as she could; she resealed the padlock, and only hoped that no one would ever find out what she did in there, or what she saw. With the padlock again magically sealed she with her wand constructed a temporary sound barrier over the door as to hold back the sound of the dragons rawrs. It was her hope that the dragon would eventually return from the physical, and back into the deepest recesses of her mind from which it came. She also hoped that no one else would ever become as curious as she was and did this night. When she got back to her dorm she layed down on her bed quietly. All these events took place in a manner of only about seven to ten minutes, but to her it felt almost as if it were hours, or even days she spent in that dark classroom. Amy now even could not sleep as her thought kept wandering about what happened in that room, and what went on while she was in there. She kept thinking to herself would happen to this un-tempered schism she unleashed to the whole school? What would become of it? Would this wild magic seal itself or last into eternity, feeding off of the magic like a black hole? Along with these long term questions, other more immdiate threat questions came to her mind as well: Would the dragon escape the barrier lock? Would this magic fissure be left only contained to the room she re-locked? What if other students found out about what really was in that room? Amy although haunted with these persistent questions, kept trying to reasure herself it was all going to be ok. In the end, however she she may never truly be sure what the future holds.
