The older brother of the OPTS, this scout craft was made as a light weapons platform and leading edge of tank convoys. With a twin linked autocannon and anti-personnel shredder cannons, this provides a quick and reliable application of firepower to harry targets.
A common tactic is to use the extremely thin silhouette (being its namesake, after looking like the Bornelian Silverfish) to conceal entire squadrons against urban backdrops, or to blend into combined tank formations. The resulting effect can fool even dedicated sensors, allowing scores of these vehicles to be nearly undetected.
Despite speed and profile being the biggest strengths of this vehicle, it suffers the same drawbacks as the OPTS. A direct hit from an RPG or tank cannon will usually put one down in short order. Glancing blows from large rounds can shunt the vehicle very seriously, posing a navigational hazard in dangerous terrain.
