Reminds me of when I was still living with my parents because they refused to let me get a place of my own and my mom was starting to abuse me. Whenever I tried to bring attention it, she would scream at me and accuse me of lying and even took away my laptop and phone. She would accuse me of abusing her and just scream and snap at me until I couldn't take it anymore and was like this...she then would tell me that mentally stable adults don't act like that and that my behavior was what was preventing me from moving out. I only wanted to move out to get away from her abuse and if she didn't scapegoat me all the time I never would act like that in the first place.
