Haha, I like that cake. The anatomy on the Croconaw is actually really good too. The Charmeleon could use a little work, but it's not at all bad. Just a tad "off" in places. Judging by how Charmeleon's arm stops just before his chin and how Croconaw's fingers are all visible rather than at least one of them being under the plate, it looks like you're afraid to cover up parts of of your characters.

I used to struggle with that a lot, but I've realized the mind is really good at filling in the missing details. For instance, if you were asked to remember a picture with only a character's head and neck showing, you'd probably remember seeing their shoulders or arms as well. The brain is pretty awepic like that. Anyways, sorry if ya knew all this. Happy birthday to Keyblade, and good job to you. :>

Yeah, the "char" trio has always been my favorite starters (with Charizard being my fave pokemon out of all of them), but for the life of me, I can't get their weird anatomy down no matter what =b I got Croconaw looking "decent" in about 4 - 5 minutes just from glancing at reference pics, but I spent maybe 20 minutes on Charmeleon and could never get him to look "right" until finally I just said screw it and went on, heh.

I do need to work on leaving parts of the body out. If I ever do a sketch, if I hit the end of the page and something's not drawn, I immediately go "oh crap... I need to tweak it to get that last claw in!" or something instead of just leaving it off altogether.

Thanks a bunch for the critique and advice though! I really want to get better at drawing. I just find it hard to get the time to devote to it, so every little bit of advice helps!

Nogard really did a great job. I love it and cant express enough my gratitude for making me this piccy.
