It was the movie 'IT' and my mothers extreme dislike for all that is clownly or circus like.

Well, I suggest you watch that movie again.

Now that you're an adult you will probably find yourself laughing more than anything.
The acting is bad.
The effects are silly.
Pennywise is played by Dr. Frankenfurter.

The second half of that movie seems like it was directed by someone else entirely.
It's like they said, "Guys, the first half was too scary for a TV movie. Add more clown jokes!"

I swear, Pennywise is frickin hilarious in the second half of the movie.
