Orcs and gnomes were near opposites where engineering was concerned. While Gnomes could create nearly anything and comprehend complex things and regard them as simple machines such as buckles, locks, and adhesive things.... Orcs, were much less technically inclined, most not understanding how to work a modern buckle or how adhesive strips work.

Occasionally, gnomes are able to use this to their advantage.
