For those that don't already know, for the past several months I have been talking to, getting to know, dating, and now even living with my mate,  kirasher. I have become more happy with him and closer to him than I ever have, and we are now engaged. The thumbnail is a picture i took of the ring still in the box, and the real picture is my ring while wearing it. We decided together to get matching rings.

The rings are Cobalt Chrome with black diamonds. cobalt chrome is the hardest metal you can get other than tungsten, which is a ceramic composite and can shatter pretty easy. cobalt chrome wont shatter like tungsten and is almost as hard and scratch resistant.

Black diamonds are rare and extremely limited as they are from an area that is very small in south american and Africa that used to be the same area before the continents divided. this area is sedimentary and hosts no other gemstones. These diamonds are more porous than normal diamonds and house small pockets of gas in mixtures/quantities not found on earth and it is the most common conclusion of geologists and other scientists that all the black diamonds on the earth came from on large meteor a long time ago. This explains the non-terrestrial pockets of gases not found on earth or in diamonds, why the pockets exist to begin with, and why they are found in rock that doesnt support any other diamonds or other gemstones at all.

We have not set any specific date, but we do plan on having a small ceremony. More updates to come via journals and/or submissions.
