This is very pretty, although wouldn't the light of the reflected 'flame-orbs' be similar in intensity to the actual ones ? Or were you trying to keep the pool's mirror effect from overshadowing the action on top ?

They wouldn't be exactly the same, because they are a reflection, although I did tone them down to make it obvious they were the reflection as opposed to the source. If I had continued and done all the refraction of the light off the pond it probably would have looked better, but I didn't get to finish that part, and I think I'd like to muddle a bit more with the fire at some point anyway.

Yeah, I realize I was just nitpicking now that I look at it. I guess it's just my photographer instincts. ^^;

This is pretty cool, I love the pose! At the trees custom brushes? I think you might have got a small stray tree near the top (a little left of the center).

Yeah, the trees are brushes. Huh, couldn't see anything on my monitor, but my monitor is adjusted to print so I didn't see it. Good catch though!
