This was actually done back in 2010, but I’ve always been pretty fond of this panel from Layline (I did tweak the background after removing the word bubbles from this one though). I always have the most fun with Maggie, both because her character is just a treat for me to work with, and because her crow forms are fluid and can vary between instances of shapeshifting. While Faith’s appearance stays basically the same, I can change things up for Maggie.
It’s always interesting looking from my normal work to my comic work. The truth is, with my normal art, I can spend hours on a single face… I can’t afford to do that with a weekly webcomic page. So, there’s always a certain roughness to the pages of my comic… but you know, it’s also kind of interesting to me too. Maybe I’m just weird.
