This design is centered around the concept that being a woman should pose no restriction on the life that one may pursue. So often, women are viewed as being the weaker sex, only suited to a life of domesticity. This is so very untrue, yet many women come to be indoctrinated into viewing themselves as less than human solely due to their sex and gender.
This design is meant to be the embodiment of a woman discovering her own limitless potential, blazing her own path in life. She is not tied down by any traditionally gendered roles, but free to explore the world as a person with a full complement of human rights. She sets off at the dawn of a new day, a fresh start for a bold new life, full of possibilities. The birds that fly behind her represent those whom she will inspire, the future she will better because she is free to pursue her own life.
Her design is meant to be ethnically ambiguous, rejecting the Caucasian-bias commonly found in western art. She is depicted in complementary purple and gold, the colors of nobility and power, both of which are hidden within everyone. Additionally, blue and pink were avoided for the gendered themes these colors may imply. This image is meant to enforce the idea that people who possess a female sex are deserving of full and equal rights without regard to age, nationality, race, appearance, gender, or ablebodiedness.
Thank you for considering my design.
