Okay, yeah. After a short talk with a certain Shurian lizard, I got to thinking about misconceptions that I've had furres point out about my fursona. I've been confused with a fox on multiple occassions, and even had facts I already knew shoved into my face by pompous asses. Also, I'm not a fucking folf or a wox! So, it's time to clear up a few things!
1: It's a fact. Fennec foxes don't have colored ear tips. Maned wolves DO have colored ears, depending on the environment they live in. As for why it's grey tips instead of black? The tan-grey fur genes of the fennec fox mixed with the black-ear-fur genes of the maned wolf help create this lovely shade of dark grey.
2: Okay, my hair. I once had someone ask me why my hair tips were grey if they weren't dyed, 'cause otherwise I'd probably have grey striped hair if it was natural. It IS natural. The color is so faint on the tips of my hair, though, that only when styled properly, as shown, does the grey color come out, because the hair-tips are grouped closer and it's shown easier.
3: I was told that I was a fox a few times. Here's a showing of why I'm not: A broader, longer muzzle and a different nose than a fox.
4: My fur color, the rustic red-orange, comes from the Maned-Wolf half of my genes combined, once again, with the tan color of the fennec-fox genes. The normally darker red color of a maned wolf's fur has become this, a lighter, oranger color.
5: Okay, I can't stress this enough. The kind-of winging tuft of fur at the nape of my neck is a small-ish mane. It may not look it, but it's thicker and tougher to get through that it appears. Ironically, it was inspired by my RL hairstyle, which has a weird, winging style like that.
6: Just for show, the marks on my shoulders extend around onto my back, too. I have a pretty exotic fur pattern, if you see all of it.
So, that's it for tonight. I'm done. And sleepy. The wuffux is going to bed now.
